Collector Product Terms

Effective date: 12 July 2026

These Product Terms apply to Collector, the member billing, payment, and reporting platform operated by Baruchiel at collector.baruchiel.com. They supplement the Baruchiel Terms of Service, End User License Agreement, and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict, these Product Terms — and, for production deployments, your organization's signed agreement — prevail for Collector.

1. How Collector Is Offered

Collector is not a self-serve subscription. Each customer organization receives its own single-tenant deployment — a separate running instance serving only that organization. Production use is governed by a signed Order Form referencing Baruchiel's Master Subscription Agreement (MSA) and Data Processing Addendum (DPA), entered into between Baruchiel and your organization. To get started, request a demo through the contact form or the Collector site.

2. Demo Instance Terms

A public demonstration instance of Collector is available at collector.baruchiel.com so you can evaluate the product before engaging us. By using the demo you agree that:

  • The demo contains sample data only and exists solely for evaluation. You must not enter real personal data (real member names, phone numbers, or email addresses) or conduct real financial record-keeping in it.
  • Demo data is visible to other evaluators and may be reset, altered, or deleted at any time without notice. Nothing you enter is retained or backed up.
  • The demo is provided "as is", without warranty or service commitment of any kind, and may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at any time.

3. Pricing Model

  • Plans are tiered by active member count and published on the Collector site, billed annually (with a discount) or monthly. Final pricing is confirmed in your Order Form.
  • A one-time onboarding fee may apply, covering setup, data import, and training, as stated in your Order Form.
  • Usage-based costs are pass-through:SMS reminders use your organization's own SMS provider credentials at that provider's rates, and online payment transactions carry Paystack's processing fees. Baruchiel adds no markup and never takes a percentage of your collections.
  • A self-hosted licensing option is available for organizations that wish to run Collector on their own infrastructure, under a separate licence schedule to the MSA.

4. Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds

Renewal, termination, notice periods, refunds, and post-termination data export for production deployments are governed by your organization's signed agreement, not by the consumer refund policy on this site. On termination, your organization may request an export of its data in standard formats within the period stated in the agreement, after which the deployment and its data are securely deleted.

5. Data Protection

  • Your organization is the data controllerof its members' personal data; Baruchiel is a data processor acting on your documented instructions under the DPA.
  • Each deployment is single-tenant: one organization's data is never shared with, or accessible to, another organization.
  • SMS and SMTP providers configured by your organization, and Paystack for online payments, act as sub-processors or independent processors as described in the DPA and the Privacy Policy.
  • Your organization is responsible for having a lawful basis to process its members' data and for informing members how their data is used.

6. Member Portal Payments

Where the members' portal is enabled, members may pay by card or mobile money through Paystack. Payments are verified server-side before being allocated, and each successful payment produces a receipt. Baruchiel does not store card or mobile-money credentials. Payment disputes should be raised with your organization in the first instance.
